Personal information gathered by the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is kept in confidence. Donor information is retained on a secure, confidential database to ensure that only those personnel with a "need to know" can access personal information.

What types of personal information do we collect?

All personal information we collect from you is used for charitable fundraising activities primarily in support of Hamilton Health Sciences. When you make a donation, we ask for your name and contact information, information about the programs or services that you would like to support and your banking information. We may also use this information to keep you informed about events, activities, funding needs, and opportunities to volunteer or donate. 

Website and Online Giving

Any information collected from donations or registrations, including credit card numbers and expiry dates, is transmitted through a secure server and is used only for the purpose for which it was sent. Any e-mail addresses sent to us are kept strictly confidential and are used only to reply or send information as authorized by the e-mail account holder.

Ongoing Relevancy

We regularly review our information handling practices, policies and procedures and update them accordingly to ensure that we remain current with changing laws and the expectations of our donors and supporters.
