On June 19, Henderson Structured Settlements hosted their second annual "Making the Links” charity golf classic. The company, which works with coverage providers to structure insurance settlements and provide long-term income to injury victims, founded the tournament in 2011 in honour of their 30th anniversary with the purpose of bringing together Hamilton’s medical, legal and insurance communities.

The sold out event, which was held at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, raised in excess of $55,000 in support of the Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury programs at Hamilton General Hospital.

“Supporting our community and giving back to those in need is something we are very passionate about and this tournament has become a huge point of pride for our employees,” says Bob Nigol, Managing Partner, Henderson Structured Settlements. “Partnering with Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation was important to us because we wanted the funds to stay local and impact patient care right here in our region.”

In addition to the 18 holes of golf, the event also featured a chipping challenge, dinner reception, silent auction and guest appearance by hockey great Marcel Dionne.
