Margaret, and her late husband Charles Juravinski, inspired our community with their exceptional philanthropy. Together, through their kindness and generosity, they have supported vital care and healthcare innovation for our neighbours and loved ones, in their time of need. Even after the loss of Charles, Margaret remained steadfast in her commitment to improving the health of the community, which was so close to her heart, and the depth of her influence is beyond description. She will be greatly missed and our heartfelt condolences to her loved ones through this difficult time."

From Our CEO
“For nearly 16 years, it has been a privilege to steward the philanthropic vision that Margaret and Charles Juravinski shared for Hamilton Health Sciences and the community,” says Pearl Veenema, CEO, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. “Their generosity has been nothing short of transformational. It has been heartwarming to hear them speak about how meaningful it was for them to support the health of our community.

As we celebrate and remember Margaret, a very proud Hamiltonian, I am reminded of her humanity, caring and down-to-earth perspectives. She placed a high value on health and often said, without good health it is impossible to live a fulfilling life. She desired that through their generosity, others would be inspired to give back to the best of their ability.

I will treasure the life’s lessons that Margaret shared, along with her graciousness and feisty spirit. I will miss our conversations about books, the beauty of nature and so much more. Her passing is a true loss to all Hamiltonians. I feel so honoured to have known her.”
