“It gives me tremendous pleasure to welcome these four new partners to our Care4 family.” – Tamara Pope
HAMILTON, ON – October 6, 2020: Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is pleased to announce that Vineland Estates Winery, Forsythe Health Care, Joseph Tassoni Face Coverings and Healthy Planet Canada have joined its Care4 cause marketing program.
The Care4 program is an innovative fundraising partnership that empowers businesses to demonstrate social responsibility by making a financial commitment on behalf of their customers to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.
“It gives me tremendous pleasure to welcome these four new partners to our Care4 family,” says Tamara Pope, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. “It is so heartwarming that in this current environment, we have four regional businesses commit to this program. It speaks to the sense of community and understanding of the difference everyone can make in supporting vital health care through Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.”
When consumers make a purchase from a Care4 partner, a portion of the purchase (unique to each partner) directly supports patient care, education, research and equipment (which the government does not fund), across the supported sites of Hamilton Health Sciences, including Hamilton General Hospital, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, McMaster Children’s Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital.
The team at Vineland Estates Winery understands the regional role that Hamilton Health Sciences plays in supporting health care throughout south-central Ontario.
“Vineland Estates Winery is happy to announce that we are working with Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation to give back to front line health care workers, as we want to take care of those who take care of us,” says David Hulley, Director of Customer Experience.
Vineland Estates Winery contributes $10 for each new wine club membership when Hamilton Health Sciences, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, Care4 or any of the hospital sites are mentioned. Learn more at vineland.com.
For Forsythe Health Care, Greg Forsythe is committed to giving back to the community that has been home to his family’s business, Forsythe Lubricants, for five generations. Most recently, he experienced the high quality of care provided at Hamilton Health Sciences when his first child was born during the spring COVID lockdown.
“When I founded Forsythe Health Care, we formulated the hand sanitizer to meet the needs of the hospitals by providing the best product with the most complete hand coverage,” says Greg Forsythe, the Director of Forsythe Health Care. “At the back of my mind there was a desire to help the community. That’s the motivation, and frankly, the most rewarding part of developing this line of product.”
Forsythe Health Care has also made generous donations to support The Foundation’s virtual events and the teams at McMaster Children’s Hospital where baby Mason was born.
Forsythe Health Care contributes $0.10 per unit sold of Forsythe Hand Sanitizer, to a maximum of $20,000 per year. Forsythe Health Care hand sanitizer is available in liquid and gel, and is available at select retail outlets. Commercial customers may contact Forsythe directly. Learn more at forsythehc.com.
